Chris (Lovell) Cox lives onsite and has been the Full Time Manager of Cox Ranch since 1994. She grew up working on a Dairy Farm in central Wisconsin that has been in her family for over 100 years. During College she worked full time (40 - 60 hours per week) milking cows and training horses to help make ends meet. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin at River Falls in 1990 with a Bachelors of Science (BS) in Animal Science and a Horse Emphasis she went to work training horses for Jack Brainard in Gainesville, TX. Chris has ridden with and learned from a variety of mentors including Jack Brainard, Don Murphy, Tom Dorrance, Ray Hunt, Larry Kasten, Tom Pierson, Craig Johnson, Bob Loomis, Scott McCutcheon and Tim McQuay.

In 1995 Chris got involved with Parson Jack Russell Terriers. Originally showing in the JRTCA she quickly moved to the UKC and AKC as the breed was recognized in each organization. Her first Terrier, and first dog to show, U-CDX CQH Daisy Mae of Starlight CDX, OA, OAJ,TDI, was also the First Jack Russell Terrier to earn an Official American Kennel Club Title. Her second, an own son of Riverview Flare of Fox Run, U-CD AKC CH Kenswick Whip of Starlight CDX, RA, OA, OAJ, ME, TDI, VDX, ROM, earned advanced titles in Obedience, Agility, Earthdog, Rally and Conformation - often earning legs in multiple events on the same day, as well as being a Registered Therapy Dog with a Tracking Certificate. The only Parson Jack Russell Terrier that came close to earning the versatility of titles that Whip did in his day was Chris's third terrier, Ch Eastlake Hannah CD, NA, NAJ, JE, VD, ROM.
